Clinical Breast Exam

A clinical breast exam (CBE) should be performed yearly by your health care provider to screen for breast cancer. She/He will look for changes in the appearance of the breast, feel lymph nodes under the arms and above the collar bone, and palpate (feel) the breast tissue. Any abnormality detected may warrant further evaluation.
