Adjuvant Trials are those trials that combine treatment with surgery. NSABP B-35: A Clinical Trial Comparing Anastrozole with Tamoxifen in postmenopausal patients with Ductal Carcinoma in-Situ (DCIS) undergoing lumpectomy with radiation therapy. NSABP B-36: A clinical trial of adjuvant therapy comparing six cycles of 5-Fluorouracil, Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide (FEC) to four cycles of Adriamycin and Cyclophosphamide (AC), with or without Celecoxib, in patients with node-negative breast cancer. NSABP B-38: A Phase III, adjuvant trial comparing three chemotherapy regimens in women with node-positive breast cancer: Docetaxel/Doxorubicin/Cyclophosphamide (TAC); dose-dense (DD) Doxorubicin/Cyclophosphamide followed by DD Paclitaxel (DD AC→P); DD AC followed by DD Paclitaxel plus Gemcitabine (DD AC→PG). NSABP B-39: Trial initiation of NSABP B-39/RTOG 0413: A randomized phase III study of conventional whole breast irratiation (WBI) versus partial breast irradiation (PBI) for women with stage 0, I, or II, breast cancer. CALGB 40101: Cyclophosphamide and Doxorubicin (CA) (4 Cycles vs. 6 Cycles) versus Pacitaxel (12 weeks vs 18 weeks) as adjuvant therapy for women with node negative breast cancer: A 2 x 2 factorial phase III randomized study. IBCSG 24-02 Soft: Suppression of Ovarian Function Trial: A Phase III trial evaluating the role of ovarian function suppression and the role of Exemestane adjuvant therapies for premenopausal women with endocrine responsive breast cancer. NCIC MA.27: A randomized phase III trial of Exemestane versus Anastrozole in postmenpausal women with receptor positive primary breast cancer.
